Manual Machinist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to fabricate precision parts according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders and broach machines
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Manual programming techniques
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment for each job
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions
- Assemble components and perform quality checks to ensure proper fit and function
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of power tools and their safe operation
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
- Experience in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
