The Manager, Supply Chain and Planning is responsible for the distribution of all goods in support of the company's commercial and pipeline products, product serialization, and state pharmacy licensing and will take an active role in supporting global production planning and inventory management. This role is responsible for managing 3rd party logistics providers, wholesale distributors, and specialty pharmacies and reconciling Xeris inventory across multiple contract manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing vendors/sites. Directly responsible for inventory management activities, forecasting, and purchasing. Will lead S&OP activities and develop, track, and report monthly metrics.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain CMO forecasts and purchase orders.
- Track inventory levels of finished and component inventory.
- Lead Technical Operations' effort in the month end close process ensuring SOC 1 compliance.
- Ensure CMO's and Distribution Partners move goods throughout the Supply Chain according to validated processes.
- Coordinate logistics activities across multiple sites and with multiple partners.
- Develop Production and Procurement Plans in conjunction with approved commercial forecasts and agreed upon inventory levels.
- Maintain desired levels of inventory throughout the Supply Chain to mitigate risk and maximize customer service.
- Support R&D activities as required, including procurement of API and components, store and transport development, pre-clinical and clinical materials, under appropriate GMP conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations Management, or Materials Management, or equivalent.
- Manager must have 3-5 years of experience in a distribution/logistics environment in the healthcare industry. Experience with controlled substances considered a plus.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP/Quality/Regulatory processes and procedures required; DEA/controlled substance regulations experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, import/export requirements, and customs regulations a considered a positive.

Working Conditions
- Position may require periodic evening/weekend work, and periodic overnight travel, as necessary to fulfill obligations.
- This position may require up to 25% travel.
