Duties:
Perform duties in the Montana Tech Library Public Services Department including using various software applications to circulate library resources, place faculty materials on reserve, perform duties relating to borrowing and lending items in ILL (InterLibrary Loan), order supplies, process work orders, assume responsibility for supervision of the library during required evening and weekend hours during the academic year; assume responsibility for supervising student workers, interact with all library patrons by providing services and information in a professional manner, perform other duties as assigned. Availability to work evening and weekend hours as scheduled during the academic year is required as is the ability to be a productive member of the library team, must possess the flexibility to also work on special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work Sunday through Thursday including some evening hours during the academic year, Summer schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• Ability to adjust to changing schedules
• Experience working with the public
• Ability to contribute to and participate in a teamwork environment
• Flexibility to work on special projects as assigned
• Knowledge and skill using Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a library
• Supervisory experience

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push carts loaded with library resources
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
