SalaryESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION
| Assist in job setup, including, but not limited to adding/removing anilox sleeves, plates, chambers, ink pans from press as required |
| Assist in webbing the press, if needed |
| Learn to perform operator duties to provide coverage for breaks, vacations, and other operator absences |
| Manage Raw Materials (Paper Rolls): Transportation of rolls from warehouse to press room & press room to converting room, assist in roll changes, remove waste from print rolls, Prepare rolls & cores for automatic splicing |
| Ink Management: Check ink pumps for ink volume, viscosity, and pH levels, Transport ink from ink room to press area |
| Cleaning: Cleanup of anilox, doctor blades, plate sleeves as needed, General housekeeping duties such as sweeping, emptying scrap carts to baler, returning dirty press parts to the washing station |
| Perform all housekeeping functions necessary to business operations (from daily shift requirements to Plant Sanitation audits) in respective work areas at all times. |
| Perform any and all job assignments/functions as necessary to daily business demands as instructed by Management. |
- Continuous standing and walking with minimal sitting.
- Frequently lift and carry 60-lb ink pails.
- Able to bend, twist, kneel during press cleanup/setup involves frequent, constant, continuous, and repetitive motions.
- Frequent carrying and holding of wide-web sleeves, plates, chambered doctor blades, and other tools as required.
- Frequent, regular pushing and pulling of paper rolls in excess of 2,300 3,300-lb on roll carts.
Required Skills
- Must follow Safety/GMP/PPE guidelines.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on rotating days, including overtime and weekends.
