Scion is seeking an innovative Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement with experience in vendor & products selection, as well as providing guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
This individual will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company's policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.
This position will work out of our corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL full-time.

Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Responsibilities
- Developing and providing input to procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and service providers.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Performing vendor cost-benefit analyses, providing input to Scion's KPI and SLA standards, and scorecards for vendors
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Preparing procurement reports.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a role related to sourcing/procurement, accounting, finance, analytics or supply chain
- Experience utilizing the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) in a professional setting
- Proven experience negotiating and managing large, national and regional suppliers, delivering value aligned to operational delivery and category strategies
- Strong analytical ability, ability to think strategically, and learn and process new information quickly
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently and professionally articulate ideas and concepts at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks without direct supervision, while paying strong attention to detail and follow-up.
- Strong organization skills and background and use of Project/Program Management tools and methodology (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.).
- Experience with one or more electronic sourcing platforms, such as Coupa, Kissflow, Procurify, Procurex, Symphony, etc.
