Job Description: What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for guiding and transforming our clients' businesses through effective product management strategies. You will leverage your extensive experience in a top-performing product environment to coach and mentor less mature organizations, enabling them to enhance their product management practices and achieve optimal business outcomes.
Utilize your in-depth knowledge and expertise in product management to assess clients' current practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop tailored strategies that align with their business goals.
Lead and facilitate organizational transformations by driving the adoption of best practices, implementing product management frameworks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within client organizations.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and product teams, offering coaching, mentoring, and training to develop their skills, enhance decision-making capabilities, and accelerate product development cycles.
Collaborate with clients to develop product roadmaps, define market positioning, and identify growth opportunities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Analyze existing product management processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to increase efficiency, speed to market, and customer satisfaction.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at various levels of the organization, providing clear communication and fostering collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes.
Define and implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success of product initiatives, track progress, and identify areas for further improvement.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in product management methodologies, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Contribute to the firm's knowledge base by sharing insights and thought leadership with colleagues and clients.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a high-performing product management environment, preferably in technology or software industries.
5+ years of business professional or consulting experience.
Proven record of accomplishment of successfully leading and driving product management transformations in complex organizations.
Strong understanding of product management methodologies, including agile development practices, product lifecycle management, and market analysis.
Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide individuals and teams towards achieving their full potential.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience and strong comfort level with relevant roadmap development and delivery management tooling (e.g. JIRA, ADO, Aha!, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse clients and navigate through various organizational cultures.
Nice to Haves
MBA or relevant graduate level degree.
Exposure to various product management settings (B2B, B2C or SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise).
Experience applying various product frameworks through building of a product with opinions on when frameworks can be most successful (or conversely, failed).
Track record of product success and working in or forming healthy product team environments.
High degree of organization and ability to manage competing priorities, driving results across multiple projects, exercising influence without authority.
