Consumer Products & Retail Business Unit Overview:

• The Consumer Products & Retail Business Unit serves many of the world's leading Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturers and Retailers
•  We work with our clients to shape and execute solutions for their most pressing challenges and opportunities:
• Reimaging and transforming supply chains that are responsible, resilient, agile and insight powered#
• Optimizing channel partner and consumer engagement models within the context of the consumer of today and tomorrow
• Transforming operating models, workforce, culture and technology to be truly digital businesses
• Understanding, shaping and responding to climate-driven business transformation imperatives
• The US Consumer Products & Retail business unit is part of a global Consumer Products & Retail BU and growing Baringa US business

What will you be doing?

The actions, activities and steps companiestake right now will determine the future impact on our planet, our commitmentsas a country and our success in decarbonizing our economy. As apurpose-led business, addressing climate change is at the heart of ourstrategy. Building on our position as the UK's top-rated Energy,Environment and Utilities consultancy (as voted in the FT's annual survey ofconsultancies), we seek to lead the US market on providing climate change andsustainability consulting across Consumer Products and Retail to help clientsachieve their sustainability ambitions.

Following market leadinggrowth, we have ambitious expansion plans in 2023 and are currently looking forindustry leaders and consultants to join our growing Consumer Products &Retail practice. Specifically, we are looking for talented people with passionand experience to focus on helping ourclients shape, design, implement and deploy more sustainable and resilientbusiness and operating models and capabilities. Specifically, our team memberscan expect to be working with clients in dynamic teams of experts focused onarea such as: 

• Net Zero strategy and implementation 
  
• Supply Chain resiliency and sustainability 
  
• Sustainable product development/product re-design
  
• Supplier engagement and enablement
  
• Sustainable sourcing and procurement
  
• Change management, coaching and support
  

More broadly, you willbe expected to: 

• Undertake professional services roles helping clients address multi-layer, complex sustainability issues in support of their strategic objectives 
  
• Lead or work as part of a combined team of client and Baringa personnel. 
  
• Build strong relationships with clients and to generate Consulting Opportunities and establish lasting partnerships. 
  
• Have the desire to develop our dynamic company, grow our business and contribute to our culture.
  
• Help build the capability of the current team in your specialist areas. 
  
• Demonstrate an aptitude for leading and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, including the timely synthesis of complex data into meaningful and actionable insights. 
  

Specific roles will varydepending on requirements, but typically require application of a combinationof business analysis, process design, and organizational change managementskills. 

What we're looking for...

• 5-10 years of sustainability consulting experience in the Consumer Products and/or Retail sectors
• A track record of project management of large-scale transformation engagements
• Deep expertise in sustainability (i.e. decarbonization levers, supplier engagement, software and reporting tool selection, as-is/to-be mapping)
• Demonstrated capability to be successful as a business consultant, namely the ability to deliver and help realize benefits in challenging, client-facing environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, technical and data proficiency preferred
• Deep understanding of sustainability strategy and related applications and experience in building process and organizational design around them
• Active network of relationships with sustainability and Consumer Products & Retail executives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills 
• Degree at graduate or undergraduate level
