Roles & Responsibilities
Safety
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
Correct any unsafe conditions when they are found
Production
o Single point of contact for the Line Supervisors
o Supply feedback on the schedule if any improvements can be made
o Monitor production to see that rates are being met
o Order time studies when needed
o Dive continuous improvement ideas
o Ensure accurate production data is being entered into the system
o Ensure quality procedures are being followed
o Review performance of Operators and facilitate any training/coaching to close the performance gap
o Provide data in regards to employment needs to HR
o Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are being followed in accordance with TS:16949 guidelines
o Review scrap with employee and determine root cause and corrective action
o Support all company improvement projects (5S, 6Sigma, Lean, etc…)
o Provide any feedback in regards to delays back to the scheduling dept.
o Ability to read and interpret customer drawings ? Be versed in customer specifications
Collaboration
o Collaborate with other managers when needed to improve production processes
o Provide data to other managers in regards to areas of improvement that would help production. (i.e. casting quality, tooling etc..)
Metric Reporting
Prepare reports tracking quality performance (Machine Scrap)
Prepare reports tracking daily saleable hours vs Target (Target will be set based on incoming demand. The Target will be an output of the monthly MDC S&OP meetings)
Compare saleable hours to hours charged to report efficiencies
Review the individual production of operators – ongoing
Performance Metrics for Production Manager
Production Efficiencies > 95% -- (Based on M2M labor efficiency report)
Machine Scrap < 0.25%
Saleable hours > than monthly S&OP targets SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will oversee all line supervisors and machine operators

Previous office experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Must have a good grasp of the English language and be able to communicate well. Must be able to write communications with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to perform all basic math skills.

• Should have good investigative and analytical abilities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, move about as required, bend, and do some lifting.
