Our office of Academic Affairs is hiring a Student Services Manager who will partner with the Student Services Director, providing leadership and supervision. This person will support retention and completion efforts through guiding advisors as they counsel students through academic progression. Has extensive technical knowledge of the functional areas of Student Services to provide back up support as needed.
- Supportive partner to the Student Services Director and assists with leading the Student Services Department, including oversight, training, and guidance of Student Services staff.
- Oversee and support student code of conduct investigations
- Supports advisors as they monitor student progression, maintaining satisfactory academic progress, and being advised for either academic or attendance reasons
- Manages and directs the different functional areas within Student Services to develop a high performing work team.
- Partners with other functional areas to support and meet Campus and organizational goals in alignment with the Student Services Director.
- Ensures scheduling practices meet established targets and assists scheduling staff in proactively planning for upcoming courses in collaboration with the Education Department.
- Ensures compliance with all Accreditation and Licensing requirements as well as federal compliance requirements through auditing processes, training staff, and holding team members accountable.
- Reviews and audits incoming VA student documentation for prior education and supports the accuracy of ongoing VA benefits.
- Assists with the Student Visa process and updating SEVIS appropriately
- Provides oversight with various programs on campus i.e. Student Council, student activities, tutoring program, drug testing program, assisting with Open Houses etc. (Programs vary by campus)
- Performs the obligations of a Campus Security Authority (CSA) including data collection and reporting under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act”
- Establishes/maintains a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics.
- Supports organizational initiatives designed to increase outcomes related to show, retention, completion, graduation, and employment.
- Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with experience in the areas of counseling and management.
- Prior management of Student personnel and services in educational setting preferred
- 3 years leadership or management experience
