Job Summary:
Manager, Knowledge Management (KM), is responsible for managing the coordination, advancement and continuous quality improvement of KM's work efforts, including responding to requests for information, product development and website enhancements, internal libraries, convenings and online events, and other special projects.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Leads coordination, advancement and continuous quality improvement of KM's work efforts, including the development of organizational processes and systems to support responses to requests, product development and website enhancements, internal libraries, convenings and online events, and other special projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Leading/facilitating small and large group interviews and discussions to support product development (including notes/summaries, written briefs, webinars, podcasts and videos), and information exchange and dissemination activities (including responses to requests, eUpdates and other messaging).
• Developing agendas for webinars, convenings and other events.
• Functioning as the lead project manager on specific business processes and coordination of KM work efforts, including planning products, projects and events, enhancing internal libraries and public website space, interfacing with external resources/vendors, overseeing logistics and budgets, and executing and overseeing other tasks to support effective information spread.
• Using specialized content and business process expertise to support KM product development, targeted technical assistance, and special projects. Suggest appropriate improvements and changes to enhance the approaches and services provided.
• Communicating and partnering with key stakeholders, including experts with lived experience, at various stages of the process to plan and execute KM products, events, and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Preparing content experts and key partners for effective participation in KM events, such as webinars, videos, podcasts, convenings and other meetings.
• Developing practical tools and resources for use by team members, Casey colleagues, child welfare staff and other partners to help organize, retrieve and spread information.
• Creating reports and summaries to support a range of KM work efforts, including qualitative and quantitative continuous quality improvement.
• Analyzing data and information relevant to KM work efforts.

• Provides a high level of customer service internally and externally on behalf of the KM team. Effectively collaborates and teams with KM colleagues, other CFP teams, and a broad base of stakeholders on a national, state, and local level, including community members and experts with lived experience of the child welfare system. Coordinates logistics, addresses emerging issues, and works with lead team member to ensure the project goals are achieved on time, and of high quality.

• Manages continuous quality improvement planning and activities and the evaluation of specific KM deliverables and events through oversight of the collection and analysis of data and information, analysis of satisfaction and survey instruments, and serving as a resource within KM and the organization to share and spread information, learnings, and related modifications or course corrections.

• Acts as a committee member and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a Social Work, Public Administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of child welfare or a related field. Working knowledge of social, economic, and political issues relevant to children, families and communities. Understanding of the national landscape of child welfare and social sector strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to Casey's core values around diversity, equity, anti-racism, and anti-discrimination; innovation; relationships; and stewardship required.
  • Strong project management skills required, including demonstrated experience effectively prioritizing and executing tasks. The ability to conform to shifting priorities, timelines, and demands is a must.
  • Strong facilitation skills required, including extensive experience reading communication styles when facilitating conversations, interpreting non-verbal language, defusing tension when facilitating, and engaging small and large groups when conducting comprehensive interview protocols or discussions.
  • Effective critical thinking, teaming, and decision-making skills required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills needed, including demonstrated skills at report writing and documenting and synthesizing information.
  • Demonstrated competence in the following consulting skill areas: relationship-building skills, analytical skills, communication skills, implementation skills, and continuous quality improvement skills.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook) and demonstrated experience researching issues on the internet.
  • This is a regular full-time position that may require travel 25% or more of the time.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, text, and figures; ability to type utilizing a computer keyboard; ability to travel to outside locations; and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.   • Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is required.

Casey Family Programs requires a COVID-19 vaccination for in-person work. Therefore, all employees will be required to present proof of vaccination status unless they qualify for a medical or religious exemption.
This position is based at our Seattle Headquarters.
The base salary for this role in Seattle, WA is $90,600 to $106,700.
Casey Family Programs offers benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, health and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts, eligibility for 403(b) and 401(a) retirement plans, disability, basic life, employee assistance plan and business travel insurance. Additionally, employees are eligible to accrue paid time off, starting at 8 hours per month of annual leave and 8 hours of sick time per month in the first year of employment. Casey Family Programs also observes 10 paid holidays per year and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time employment, employees in good standing are eligible for a three-month sabbatical with pay. Casey Family Programs also offers many opportunities for continued learning, training, and development.
