Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist

We are currently seeking a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) specialist to join our Solutions Team. This position is a customer-facing role that requires drive, independence, organization, good time management and great people skills. You will deliver and manage inventory at designated customer sites. The ideal candidate will be personable, flexible, detail-oriented, and a team player with a strong focus on their customer’s needs.

Job responsibilities include:

• Using company vehicles to deliver product while following all local traffic safety laws and guidelines
• Driving daily including up to 220 miles roundtrip at least one day a week (no over nights)
• Taking inventory of stock levels at customer facility
• Creating, delivering, and putting away fill-in and spot/special orders
• Developing relationships with customers and maintaining excellent lines of communication
• Recommending changes to min/max levels and product locations based on observations
• Maintaining sticker/label/barcode scheme
• Familiarizing self with client organization, product needs, ordering process, safety procedures
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to increase the scope of the VMI program at each client in collaboration with the account manager
• Working with purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels to support customer usage patterns, including identifying suitable substitute products when a delay or shortage occurs
• Assisting in implementation procedures including inventorying, organization, locating, barcoding of product
• Supervising progress of pending backorders and special orders, updating customer with ETAs
• Serving as liaison between client’s operators and procurement team
• Assisting customers with returns, warranties, and tool repairs

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience or training in warehouse, customer service, inventory counting or delivery
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge of products, as well as work on assignments that are semi-routine
• Willingness to be a team player with a positive approach
• Ability to complete the tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Ability to speak and write in English
• Ability to complete documentation and preform basic math
• Proficient with computer programs such as MS word
• Valid WA Drivers License
• Must be able to pass random drug testing

Hours and Benefits

• Monday - Friday, Hours TBD
• $21-$24/hr depending on experience

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
