The core of our company is a large team of veteran cable constructors using an excellent, well-maintained fleet of construction equipment.
This is a remote position; qualified candidates must reside in South Carolina, Georgia, Southern Alabama or Northern Florida.
What you will do:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a positive partnership with employees to ensure sustainable business operations and results.
- Maintain relationships, interaction, and visibility with all levels of the organization.
- Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues and coach managers through performance management and employee concerns.
- Help drive adoption of new processes and procedures.
- Establish strategies that seek to increase recruiting success and retention rates as well as foster employee job satisfaction, engagement, and high morale.
- Review terminations and ensure that reasons for termination are well documented, not arbitrary or discriminatory, and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and complete personnel records while ensuring rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of legislation affecting Human Resources, training management and monitoring company policies to ensure compliance.
- Create and promote health and mental wellness initiatives.
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a master’s degree
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- HR experience in telecom construction experience a plus
- Demonstrated strong change management skills.
- Experience coaching managers and employees for effective skill building.
- Strong conflict resolution, relationship building and performance management skills.
- Ability to travel from 10% to 20% of the time.
