We are looking for an enthusiastic/energetic and proactive DISPATCH MANAGER who can handle a demanding yet rewarding position. THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THIS POSITION IS MANAGING PEOPLE – with emphasis on the responsibilities and tasks below. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE STRONG PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS. Responsibilities and Tasks:
- People management – learn and understand individual team members to become aware of each person’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Identify motivational factors of each individual team member.
- Keep abreast of possible changes in the motivation of each staff member to ensure team members are always engaged and interested/ enthusiastic to consistently perform at a high level of performance and accuracy.
- Ascertain your strong team members and those who need help to improve.
- Be vigilant of changes in team members performance and investigate accordingly.
- Continuously work to improve each team member skills.
- Match team members skills with the variable demands of the schedule - balancing the sometimes frequently changing needs of the Department and placing the right employee in the right place at the right time.
- Prepare the weekly shift schedule.
- Ensure client care by proactively ensuring complete client satisfaction, building client relationships, consistently/promptly attending to customer complaints with explanations, situational fixes (if possible) and advising clients of subsequent preventative practices.
- Manage valid vacation and time off requests.
- Ensure sufficient coverage during call outs, sickness etc.
- Ability to stay calm during stressful situations.
- Recruit, as and when needed, in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Convey company culture and identity to team members in an appropriate manner.
- Ensure that any and all opportunities are relayed to the Sales department.
- Always convey the company image in the best possible light.
- Work within the provided staff budget.
- Coordinate and manage training and development of team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
- College educated.
- Organizational skills including managing priorities.
- Supervisory skills.
- Customer service.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
