The Manager HR Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to provide support for the HR Information Systems, including Workday, Oracle, and other relevant software; along with act as a key contributor for HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects. The role will carry out important responsibilities in the areas of team management, HR technology, project management, customer service, issue resolution and process improvement.
This position is part of the Human Resources team and will be located in Brea, California at Beckman Coulter. We support roughly 13,000 associates globally.
You will be a part of the HR Shared Service Operations team and report to the Sr. Director HR Shared Service Operations, responsible for all aspects of HR Operations support. If you thrive in a fast paced and supporting role and want to work to build a world-class HR organization-read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead and develop the HR operations team with a focus on global service delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on global HR operations to the senior management team.
  • Manage HR technology within Beckman for the following systems: Workday, Oracle, and HR Case Management, and work towards improving and optimizing the effectiveness of the systems
  • Act as the Project Manager for key initiatives including Global HR Shared Service project, e-Filing project, Leave of Absence process improvement, and more
  • Support the HR Shared Service team to ensure consistent, effective, and impactful implementation of human resources practices, processes, and programs that support operational effectiveness
  • Support the benefit needs of the associates within Beckman in conjunction with corporate benefits; maintain and update benefits communications content from a Beckman perspective
  • Working in partnership with the HR team, drive enhancements and process improvements to empower associates and managers and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
  • Act as HRIS Security and Organization Partner for Beckman Coulter; understand HR security setup within Workday, assign roles based on business needs, evaluate security model, and ensure access is appropriately assigned; manage quarterly SOX review
  • Apply DBS tools, create and maintain standard work documentation for HR Operations, measure effectiveness, and participate in process improvement opportunities initiatives.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • At least 9+ years of experience in the field, ideally in a Human Resources role; or Master's degree, 7+ years experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven and demonstrable experience in driving HR programs or processes within a fast-paced, regulated environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • In-depth knowledge of global employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Occasional international Travel may be required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Workday
  • HR Shared Service Organizations
  • Leading Global Teams
  • Working in a Global environment
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
  • Project management

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
