Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Special Projects Manager manages assigned projects for the division. The divisional areas of responsibility include but are not limited to Inpatient Nursing, Surgical Services, Pharmacy, Rehab, Lab, and Support Services.
This leader will serve as an aide to the Chief Operating Officer to facilitate effective decision-making in large scenarios that will have an impact on the organization. Primary work consists of managing people and activities necessary to complete defined projects. In addition, this leader will represent the COO at internal and external meetings. Utilizes industry standards and principles to document business issues and problem statements, prepares analysis of current and future processing states, documents project scope of work, identifies and recommends solutions. Prepares detailed workplans and slide deck presentations for internal and external use, create email communications and speaking points for presentations, meetings, and appearances by the COO, organizes and manages project teams, prepares project and team documentation, prepares and manages project budgets, prepares and implements training plans, supervises and coordinates activities of contracted project personnel, serves as liaison between hospital and vendor personnel, and other activities and responsibilities associated with project management. This position will manage and maintain priorities of all work within the executive office supporting the strategic plan.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Masters' degree with 3 years of experience (can include Administrative Fellowship).
- Experience managing projects in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
