- Provide oversight of the company's general ledger and monthly close process, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures for both domestic and international divisions.
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP
- Complete and review account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain financial schedules and ledgers in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Complete data analysis of company's balance sheet and income statement.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and supervision to FEG's accounting department.
- Support the completion of financial statement audits.
- Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes, as well as compliance with new accounting standards.
- Assist with the implementation of financial controls and processes.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary.
- Provides status of financial condition, results of operations and cash flows by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data on a monthly and ad hoc basis
- Monitors and assists Controller with enforcing policies and procedures
- Protects assets by assisting Controller with establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Assists Controller by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Assists Controller with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, advising management on needed actions
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
- Maintains financial staff by assisting Controller with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
