About this role
As the Accounting Manager at Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial health and success. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing accounts payable and receivables. With your expertise, you'll provide valuable insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive the company's growth.
Reporting to the head of finance, the Accounting manager will supervise the accounting function, which currently has one full-time employee, and provide timely, accurate, and useful accounts.
️ Your responsibilities
* Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* We analyze financial data and prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations
* Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
* Prepare and file tax returns
* Providing financial advice and guidance to management
* Work with external auditors and other financial professionals
* Keep current on accounting standards and best practices
* Identify and mitigate financial risks
* Supervise and scale accounting team
️ Is this you?
* Strong accounting and financial management skills
* Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, with timely and accurate close
* Track record of managing first audit at growth technology companies
* Experience with budgeting and forecasting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience leading accounting team, and working independently
* Proficiency in accounting software, with experience upgrading ERP
* Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* CPA, with at least 10 years of experience
