Form of workThis position is located in the Office of Technical Security Engineering, Training Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/T/TSE). The mission of TSE is to provide specialized DS technical security training to support U.S. foreign policy in the global threat environment. You will be responsible for managing a broad range of resources (e.g., funds, staffing, procurement, and contract services), including analysis, monitoring, and resource reporting for TSE.

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience conducting broad research and analyzing the effectiveness of administrative processes and programs to make sound recommendations to senior management;
-Experience conducting analysis of budget activity to determine accuracy of spending plans;
-Experience providing technical guidance to senior management to ensure contractor services are accomplishing mission and policy objectives; and
-Experience drafting and developing new and revised policies and standard operating procedures based on analyses of available resources and/or programmatic requirements.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
