DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Semi-skilled and manual work in maintaining various grounds, buildings, fields, and facilities within the operations of Parks and Recreation. Performs mowing, trimming, weeding, and other manual labor. Maintains equipment in safe, working order. Responsible for the operation, and maintenance and upkeep or equipment. Oversee patrons, and enforcing rules and policies within the park(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of facility maintenance and repair functions.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance and turf installation.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment to accomplish related work.
- Knowledge of grounds keeping practices and principles.
- Ability to operate light to medium equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor work under various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Skill in the operation and preventative maintenance of equipment and related tools.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Two (2) years of maintenance experience.
(A comparable amount of training, education, or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualification.)
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Florida Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL AND TESTING:
After an offer of employment has been made, the successful candidate must submit to and pass a drug test as a condition of employment. In addition, the candidate must also submit to a physical examination that is designed around the performance criteria of this position.
