To ensure hotel maintenance standards are achieved, the hotel Maintenance Worker must perform a variety of tasks. From preventative maintenance to repair, the hotel maintenance technician must strive to keep the hotel at a high quality level. IHG hotel experience is preferred, hotel maintenance experience is required
Qualifications
- Hotel Maintenance Worker must have extensive knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, as well as carpentry experience. Knowledge of safety requirements is also a must. Maintenance technician must work well without constant supervision.
- Applicants to hotel maintenance technician job positions should have at least a high school diploma and experience working in a hotel or similar accommodations. Applicants also be physically fit enough to lift and carry at heavy load, and able to stand and walk over extensive time periods. Schedules must be flexible, and hotel maintenance technician should have reliable transportation.Responsibilities
- Hotel Maintenance Worker must oversee the property grounds, public areas and the hotel’s guest rooms. Preventative maintenance must be performed to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
- Clean all public area and help housekeeping department in order to keep hotel clean.
- Hotel maintenance technician on call 24 hours each day.
Specific TasksHotel Maintenance Workers must respond to guest complaints or issues in a timely manner and must also fulfill work orders when issues cannot be resolved.Workers also be required to complete daily rounds, checking on basic hotel accommodations and identifying and reporting any problems to manager.
- Common tasks include painting, electrical accessory replacements and repair, and some wiring. Air conditioners must also be cleaned or replaced regularly.
