Warehouse Maintenance Worker

Hell's Bay Boatworks is looking for a qualified individual as Warehouse Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Hell's Bay Boatworks is a drug free workplace and pre-employment drug screening is required.

Applicant must be 21 year of age or older and a driving record of at least 3 consecutive years with little to no infractions- this requirement must be met in order to be eligible for hire.

Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision

· Perform routine maintenance tasks including but not limited to: troubleshooting, repairs and maintaining industrial equipment and machinery

· Conduct regular inspections and identify potential issues and ensuring proper functioning of equipment.

· Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

· Performing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedule to include but not limited to the shop/building, machines, mechanical equipment

· Building maintenance to include painting, repairs, cleaning, organizing, light fixtures, pressure washing, trash, yard debris etc.

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and contacting appropriate personnel or business’ when necessary.

· Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and update logs appropriately

· Removal of trash and debris throughout the shop and communal areas.

· Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed

· Collect, Fill and burn acetone routinely – training provided

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

· Various transportation duties to include but not limited to: transport materials, supplies and equipment to and from specified destinations, following all traffic laws and correctly plan routes to ensure time management and meet deadlines.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proven experience as a Maintenance technician or similar role

· Strong communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with internal and external personnel.

· Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions

· Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

· Ability to use various hand tools, razor knives, heavy equipment, power tools, overhead hoists, forklift etc.

· Ability to work an 8 hours shift standing, walking, bending lifting for long periods of time.

· Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required including: respirators, gloves, chemical resistant aprons and suits.

· Demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience

· Able to work well with co-workers, managers and supervisors sometimes in close proximity to each other

· Availability to work Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements:

These requirements must be met or applicant will be disqualified

· Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening

· Clean Driving record - provide driving record or grant permission to obtain driving record

Physical demands while performing the duties of this job: The job requires the ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, often times outside in the heat, rain and wind when safe to do so.

Specific duties as describe will require specific training, which will be provided on-the-job by appropriate personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
