Bakersfield Maintenance and Construction seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician who is passionate about ensuring our properties are in excellent condition. This role is ideal for someone who excels at problem-solving and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team to maintain and enhance our buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Maintenance and repairs across a variety of property types, ensuring all systems and structures are functioning well.
• Carry out regular inspections to identify and promptly address any potential issues.
• Quickly respond to maintenance requests to reduce any inconvenience or downtime.
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance challenges.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, document repairs, and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the optimal performance of equipment and systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards and practices.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge and skills in various trades.
• Proficiency in property and facilities maintenance practices and procedures.
• Effective communication in English, both in writing and verbally.
• A customer service-oriented approach, with the ability to professionally interact with internal stakeholders.
• Leadership abilities to guide a team or manage tasks independently when required.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to engage in physical activities such as moving, climbing, lifting, and working outdoors.
• Own a set of tools for performing maintenance tasks.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for visiting different sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational background in a related field.
• Multilingual abilities or specific certifications are a plus.
• Experience with diverse property types enhances your application.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 50 per week

Schedule:
