Job Description
Primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to complete projects and repairs in regard to routine, preventative and emergency maintenance in the hotel as directed by the Chief Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that guests receive prompt, professional treatment and courteous service in response to their maintenance needs.
- Complete all tasks, work orders and special projects as assigned by Chief Engineer.
- Perform daily inspections to ensure property grounds and work areas are maintained to standard.
- Be aware that all safety equipment and conditions are up to code, report any concern to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Complete all preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
- As assigned, maintain, monitor, and test the hotel’s emergency and security systems, features and procedures.
- Be aware that all tools and equipment are in working condition, and up to code; report any concerns to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
- Maintain the security of all equipment and tools.
- Maintaining the grounds near the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness area and restrooms are on par with the standard meant to be maintained.
- Proficient in basic Building Services Engineering; including, but not limited to wall vinyl repairs, tile work, grouting, caulking, plaster, and painting.
- Perform property walks to ensure cleanliness, functionality and security.
- Setup maintain and refresh function room as required.

Requirements:
- Two years’ experience
- Hotel experience a plus
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to bend and stoop
- Able to climb ladders
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- English verbal and written communication skills
- Availability holidays and weekends.
