Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain a condominium community in West Warwick, RI! This position is for 20 hours per week, daytime shift. Must attend quick daily call at 8:00 AM to review tasks for the day and update hours and tasks from the previous day.

1. Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing minor damages to walls and floors, and ensuring all communal areas are clean and well-maintained.

4. Groundskeeping: Assist in the upkeep of outdoor areas, including landscaping, catch basin cleanout, and snow removal.

5. Vendor Coordination: Work with external contractors and service providers as needed, overseeing their activities to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

● 2+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.

● Proficient in handling various maintenance tools and equipment.

● Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

● Excellent communication and customer service skills.

● Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform various manual tasks.

Excluded:
● Ceiling / wall repair projects larger than patchwork.

● Painting jobs that are expected to take more than two weeks.

● Any HVAC or plumbing repairs

● Jobs which require heavy machinery to dig or move objects.

Note: Military experience in a relevant field may be considered as a substitute for formal education or experience.
