DESCRIPTION:
**Maintenance Technician Pre-Employment Test will be administered**
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position plays a key role in the smooth performance and workings of the 2nd shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts/material handling equipment, heat, and vibration. There may be occasions when it’s necessary to work on powered equipment without the benefit of lock out/tag out. Otherwise, lock out/tag out procedures must be followed. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Appropriate personal safety gear is provided and should be worn at all times.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS:
This is a full-time Maintenance technician position and requires membership in the IAM union, district lodge 77. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs preventative scheduled maintenance on process equipment and facilities.
Perform tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and blueprints to perform required maintenance, service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform a variety of plumbing, mechanical, and metal fabrication/machining tasks
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electrical meters and material handling/lift equipment while performing duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to plant supervision
Comply with safety/environmental regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas
Other duties or a change in duties may be assigned by direct Managers

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds ( with assistance ). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC
Ability to successfully pass background and mechanical aptitude check
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma and/or GED, vocational tech curriculum preferred
Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
You should be proficient in:
- PLC Troubleshooting Skills
- Hydraulics Experience
- PLC Programming Experience
- High School / GED
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Salary info:
$22 - $30 / hr
