Gray Property Group, founded in 2019, is a rapidly-growing, full-service real estate startup based in Manchester, NH that offers multi-family investment, brokerage, and management services. Headquartered at 1650 Elm Street, the Company owns and operates $6.5M of apartments and manages over $15M in total assets. Principal Investor/Broker Nick Gray is actively seeking new investment opportunities, sales listings, management contracts, and additional sales agents.
The Maintenance Technician position will report to Gray Property Group's property management team and lead the Company's repairs and maintenance efforts for 50+ apartments under management and 2,200 SF of office space. The Maintenance Technician will also lead extensive apartment renovation work on an as-needed basis.
We are looking for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively and communicate professionally with tenants and supervisors. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will at times involve limited supervision. From a technical standpoint, our hire must be skilled in all or most of painting, general carpentry, flooring, and minor electrical/plumbing. This position will provide the opportunity for supervisory roles and increased pay within 6 months.
The Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities are as follows:
- Completing scheduled and unscheduled repairs/maintenance tasks involving painting, carpentry, flooring, and minor electrical/plumbing
- Renovating apartments as the Company makes new property acquisitions
- Meeting with the Property Manager for a daily 30 minute check-in meeting.
The Maintenance Technician’s required qualifications are as follows:
- 2+ years experience in the trades with skills in all or most of painting, carpentry, flooring, and minor electrical/plumbing
- General understanding of federal and state landlord/tenant laws
- Knowledge of building practices and common repair/maintenance tasks
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Proper organization and attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED required.
The Maintenance Technician position is a 40-hour per week commitment and will provide starting pay of $28 to $30 per hour depending on experience and skillset. 12 days of paid vacation per year are included. The expected schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, but the schedule can be flexible depending on repair and renovation needs.
