SalaryJOB PURPOSE:
Provides basic maintenance services for common areas, building and property, and individual units. Work consists of repairs, construction, painting and preventive maintenance according to procedures set. Ensures residents and guests are treated with respect and courtesy at all times.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of maintenance experience preferred. Must have effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in completing maintenance projects established by facilities committee and director of building services.
Provides quarterly A/C air filter replacement.
Assumes responsibility for painting, patching and/or repairing walls in the common areas as necessary throughout facility.
Participates in maintenance work order program using proper documentation.
Ensures resident satisfaction and completion of work order tickets in a timely manner according to procedure.
Keeps maintenance supervisor informed of all resident concerns, equipment or building problems.
Installs and maintains emergency medical pendants.
Assists in all resident move-in responsibilities ensuring the needs of new residents are met.
Assumes responsibility of inventory control including proper documentation.
Participates in preventive maintenance program according to schedule.
Responds to building and medical emergencies and assists health services employees as needed.
Assists in valet, parking, delivery, security and escorting services.
Assists in the daily cleaning and maintenance of the swimming pool and spa area. This includes maintaining the swimming pool and spa chemical and temperature requirements according to Maricopa County Health Department regulations.
Assists in maintaining the appearance and cleaning of the pool area including cleaning of swimming pool/spa and patio furniture.
Assist in maintaining the Koi pond by back washing filters twice a day and feed the fish.
Assist in maintaining the upkeep and maintenance of the water scape in front of D-building.
Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of the water fountain in A-courtyard.
Ensures proper communication with the front desk via radio at all times.
Wears hearing and/or eye protection provided by El Dorado.
Maintains proper appearance of uniforms at all times.
Participates in maintaining written procedures for all departmental job functions.
Must tolerate extended periods of exposure to severe weather.
Performs full range of physical movement including moderate lifting of materials and equipment up to 80 lbs. in a safe manner using back support provided by El Dorado.
Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours per shift.
Annually reviews company policies.
Annually reviews department training video(s).
Safeguards self, residents and fellow employees through safe work practices.
Other duties may be assigned.
