Job Description
Scope of Position:
Preventative Maintenance Technician provides building and grounds maintenance including, but not limited to painting, carpet installation, drywall, masonry repair, plumbing and minor construction work.
Position Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or trade school certification is preferred, and/or equivalent work experience.
Certification preferred: Senior manager and/or other certification as required by franchise.
Have valid driver’s license from appropriate state and MVR in good standing.
General knowledge of machines and maintenance and repair using basic hand and power tools preferred.
Physical Demands:
Long hours sometimes required, including nights and weekends.
Heavy Work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in confined areas as necessary.
Ability to move quickly to various areas of the entire property.
The Preventive Maintenance position is also responsible for:
- Complete Performance Checks on commercial foodservice equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, fryers, and complete beverage equipment and preventative maintenance on emergency repairs, installations and removals.
- Carryout regular preventive maintenance on equipment/fixtures/tools to mitigate major damage.
- Assist in the purchase of equipment and tools.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all company vehicles including light vehicles, heavy equipment, and transportation equipment.
- Complete in-service training of customer’s staff on proper cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment.
- Identify operating challenges that lead to kitchen equipment failure in restaurant area and overall hotel.
- Work with peers and management to develop, implement and refine Preventative Maintenance actions for manufacturing equipment.
- Provide technical recommendations (advice and/or reports) for any equipment issues.
- Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in equipment.
