We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our growing operations at our Temecula, California manufacturing facility.
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining manufacturing and facility equipment and systems. Assists in the departmental organization and safety efforts, orders parts required to maintain repair part inventories, and works collaboratively with other maintenance employees, production counterparts, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Adhere to all rules and regulations as it applies to lock out tag out.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works in partnership with other maintenance personnel to fill gaps, coach and educate/train other team members including maintenance personnel, management, and equipment operators on minor repairs in a safe and effective manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Experience with conveyor systems and controls
- Good working knowledge of electrical and electronic principals
- Strong background in systems integration and experience working with PLC’s and software
- Good working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing issues and ability to repair
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent ability to communicate system problems to peers and management
- Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others on ground.
- Have the ability to evaluate computer related work orders in accordance with accuracy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma/GED
- AA degree in industrial maintenance or electrical desired
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
- Strong Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanic and industrial skills with PLC and HVAC experience
- Fabrication/Welding experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While this position primarily performs work in an indoor temperature-controlled environment, the position on occasion will perform work outdoors that can include various environmental conditions such as cold, heat, dust, wind, and various forms of precipitation.
- Walking, moving around and or standing eight (8) hours or more per day.
- Recurring climbing and descending of stairs throughout the day to perform work at heights. Work for this position can be performed at an elevated station and requires a comfort with heights and balance.
- A minimum amount of sitting may be required for this position.
- There is repetitive hand-wrist, elbow and shoulder motion required for this position for approximately eight (8) hours during the work day.
- The must frequently, with or without assistance, lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
- In the course of a normal day additional physical activities include bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching and climbing ladders.
- Exposure to a wide range of varying degree of moderate to excessive noise levels.
- Sight must be within normal ranges to determine that machines are running properly. Specific vision abilities also include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth and the ability to adjust and focus.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment during the course of performing work.
