Manufacturing Maintenance Technician - 1st shift
Mann+Hummel is seeking Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with a maintenance background performing a variety of functions such as the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Handle working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment to include machinery and support equipment
- Test electrical currents or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
- Work from drawings, layouts, blueprints, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system of equipment
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions
- Safely operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment
- Trouble shoot mechanical and electrical faults: gearing, tool types, thread types, electrical motor and wiring schematics
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems
- Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area
- Conduct machine installs and repairs, maintenance and facilities repair
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Competencies)
- High school diploma or equivalent, General Education Development (GED) Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years working in Facility /Building electrical maintenance; Weld: ( MIG / stick SMA )
- Knowledge and understanding of current National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Must have knowledge of acceptable maintenance procedures and understanding of occupational safety and health regulations
- Must possess problem solving skills to defined methodologies
- Must be able to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams
- Must be able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete each task assignment
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Must follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Must be a steady reliable worker
- Must possess the ability to work on ladders or on aerial lifts
- Ability to Speak, Read and understand English Preferred
