Tech 3, Maintenance - HVAC

Responsibilities

• Perform all work as assigned while adhering to high standards associat ed with safety and workmanship
• Respons i ble for the safe operation of HVAC systems within the facility particularly the production and freezer units
• Performs Pla nned Maintenance (PM ' s) on HVAC units to minimize breakdowns
• Communicate effective ly with management on solutions to aid in efficient operat ion of units
• Testing and troubleshooting of 110/230/460 volt electrical equipment including motors, starters, relays, timers , panels, breakers, fuses, conduit and wiring.
• Able to read, interpret and use Electrical Cont rol sche mati cs fo r trouble shooting purposes.
• Provide a rapid response to malfunctioning equipment at any time
• Maintain proper logs and records of planned mai nt enance
• Inspect aer ial lifts daily before use
• Understand s and adheres to establishe d safety programs (lockout/ tag out, ladder safety , etc.)
• Ensure that units and facility are maintained in compliance to electr ical an d fire regulations
• Assist in the upkeep of the facility where ever directed to by man agement
• Complete work orders for general building maintenance as needed
• Oversees and works with out side support services on large project s involving Freon units
• Participates in Freon recovery and pump down service on units
• Maintai ns a clean and orderly work area
• Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.

• Self-motivated, a self- starter and self -directed to work without close supervision in a team environment.
• Proactive in communicating and dealing with issues that arise

• Possesses good language skill s (verbal & written) to interpret procedures, comprehend instructions , and to communicate eff ective ly with other s.

• Available to work extended hours as needed or an y shift, as required, to su pport a 24/ 7 operati on.
• Proper and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Able to work on elevated platf orms safely fo r extended per iods of time
• Basic plumbing (sol dering, PVC, stain less pipe)
• Basic electrical knowledge
