Maintenance Support Tech I
Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Maintenance Support Tech II
Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters. Work requires contact with
high-level managers, executives, governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Essential Duties:
Maintenance Support Tech I
- Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages and/or serves as receptionist or front desk assistant.
- Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles, and minor equipment.
- Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles, and coordinates with Business Services on adjustments needed.
- Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance, budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel, and information and/or permitting activities.
- Processes receipts/bills for payment.
- Maintains radio contact with field units; responds to assists with emergency situations as required.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Maintenance Support Tech II
- Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages and/or serves as receptionist or front desk assistant.
- Assists district personnel with annual inventory of supplies, stockpiles, and minor equipment.
- Assists in preparing monthly and final maintenance contract estimates.
- Conducts monthly spot inventories, verifies inventory findings, reconciles, and coordinates with Business Services on adjustments needed.
- Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance, budgeting, maintenance, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel, and information and/or permitting activities.
- Prepares statistical reports and verifies for accuracy and completeness.
- Processes receipts/bills for payment.
- Maintains radio contact with field units; responds to assists with emergency situations as required.
- Monitors the use of equipment and transfers.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Support Maintenance Tech I
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: None
Support Maintenance Tech II
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: 1 YEAR in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience.
(Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated part time equivalent
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools.
- Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
- Sitting - prolonged periods of time\
- Standing-prolonged periods of time
- Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading.
