Purpose of position
We are looking for a motivated individual who will excel in developing New Business opportunities with small to medium sized brands in the North American market.

Working in the Commercial Department, this role offers the successful candidate the opportunity of joining a dynamic and energetic US sales team. The individual must be able to implement a sales strategy and ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives through targeted prospecting of small to medium accounts. The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing New Business primarily through cold calls, phone follow-up, presentations and where appropriate, in-person meetings.
Please note: That while this position primarily offers remote work, you may need to go into the Chicago office at least once per month. This preference is due to occasional requirements for in-office presence as the need arises.
Key Tasks
- Educate new prospects about Awin US Group, our market position and the North American market
- Develop & maintain an accurate North American prospect/sales pipeline daily of all sales activities, leads and interactions using Salesloft, Lead IQ, Salesforce CRM system
- Conduct targeted outbound prospecting efforts to identify and engage potential clients through cold calls, emails, and other channels
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs, challenges, and goals, and effectively communicate how our product/service can address their specific requirements
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
- Deliver persuasive and compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the unique value proposition of our product/service
- Adopt a consultative & mature approach, engaging with senior decision-makers about strategic market trends, industry progression and online developments
- Ensure consistency in introductions/proposals to prospects, including market sector targeting, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling
- Attend appropriate client and industry, in person and virtual, events to enhance new and existing relationships acting as a point of knowledge and expertise
- Engage in continuous development and learning opportunities through Awin Academy, webinars, and more
- Drive and oversee the full sales cycle from initial prospecting to a signed contract and internal handoff
Skills & Expertise
To be successful you will need to meet the below requirements:
- Preferred affiliate marketing experience but not required
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills with ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team
- Confident communicator who is comfortable interacting with clients via telephone and email
- Results-orientation and drive to maximize both financial and career opportunities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy including all MS Office applications and Salesforce
