- Perform a wide variety of general repairs throughout the Viera Campus facility: involving plumbing, electrical, painting, as well as carpentry.
- Perform preventative maintenance on buildings and all equipment according to established procedures, and ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
- Perform construction work as needed such as erect walls, remove walls, and restore to original condition.
- Assist with fire drills and alarm tests as required and follow proper employee safety procedures (i.e. wear PPE, know location and reference MSDS, fire extinguisher locations, etc.).
- Provide back up support to Facilities Director when Lead person is unable to be on call 24/7 after hours as needed, perform weekly walk-thru inspections of Campus buildings and grounds, and work in a safe manner by observing all safety guidelines.
- Ensure receipt/accountability for all deliveries, FedEx, UPS, Office Max, etc.
- May assist with escorting visits for multiple state, county and other regulatory agencies.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years previous experience working in facilities maintenance and/or construction work preferable in a health care setting
- Must be able to complete athree-day(Monday - Wednesday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientations are offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test.
