The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and well-organized individual with strong maintenance skills.
Florida State Parks span the entire state with 175 state parks and trails, the only state park system in the United States to be recognized four times with the gold medal award. This position's focus includes statewide training and meeting development and facilitation.

Pay:
$15.00 per hour
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The primary function of this position is to provide maintenance and facility support at the District 1 Administration Office.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Basic arithmetic
Skilled in:
- Perform cleaning and grounds keeping duties; including restroom and facility cleaning
- Operating trucks, tractors, operating mowers, and utility vehicles
- Operate various types of lawn maintenance equipment including weed trimers, blowers, standard power and manual tools
Ability to:
- Communicate verbally and in writing
- Perform physical labor and janitorial duties
- Deal with people and maintain good public relations
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, backpack blowers and other grounds maintenance equipment as assigned
