Now Hiring - Maintenance Supervisor
Ranew's Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team in Waterloo, IA. At this time, we are only accepting applications from candidates that have an extensive maintenance background and work history. The main role of a Maintenance Supervisor is to preserve the good condition and functionality of the premises. A Maintenance Supervisor performs maintenance tasks on a wide variety of equipment and machinery. The Maintenance Supervisor is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. They must work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal of a Maintenance Supervisor is to maintain buildings, common areas and equipment in the best possible condition.
Location: Waterloo, IA
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 (starting pay is based on experience)

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, and all other jobs required to keep equipment functioning properly.
- Conduct repairs on down equipment.
- Problem solving, critical thinking skills & be proactive in preventing obstacles.
- Conduct regular cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Keep up to date maintenance records on all equipment.
- Assists with maintenance employee training and assessments.
- Order and maintain maintenance & facility supplies.
- Working with 3rd party vendors.
- Complete assigned projects.
- Utilize eMaint to communicate and record progress on job duties. Follow up with techs under your leadership to ensure they are completing proper tasks.
- Operate floor scrubber.
- Performs Forklift training and observations.
- Assist with lab support when asked.
- Assist in tank cleanout.
- Operate and maintain scissor lift or boom lift when required.
- Maintain safety in accordance with company policies.
- Notify Plant/Maintenance Manager of any existing or potential safety issues.
- Lead Maintenance Department (schedules, OT) and communicate with Plant/Maintenance Manager.
- Be cognizant of monthly budget.
- Review ordering with Plant/Maintenance Manager prior to ordering.
- Dictate tasks, goals, and projects to other maintenance team members (document).
- Wear designated PPE.
- Bending, standing, and lifting required.
- Good communication skills and follow-up
- Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
- Support facility with On-call situations and/or emergency situations.
- Assist with additional maintenance tasks when requested.
