Summary:
• Updating and maintaining the Plant PM program.
• Providing necessary documentation for compliance audits.
• Ensuring training documentation is up to date and complete.
• Working with little or no supervision.
• Working various shifts and hours with little or no notice.
• Planning and supervising the execution of cost-effective and timely maintenance for all equipment operation.
• Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel in their responsibilities.
• Collaborating with contractors, vendors, or company engineering for equipment modification or installation.
• Troubleshooting and resolving new or different technical problems related to equipment.
Other Responsibilities:
• Maintaining relevant records of critical PM'S
• Providing instruction in the use of personal protective equipment.
• Implementing new methods to improve ergonomics within the facility.
• Facilitating skill development among team members.
• Managing and maintaining all critical equipment in the plant.
• Coordinating team member schedules and handling time and attendance records.
• Conducting daily safety meetings.
• Performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
• Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
• Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.
• Must be organized and motivated to stay up to speed on changes to the PSM program by OSHA and IIAR
Experience:
Computer Skills:
• Elementary computer skills, such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.
Travel:
• 1 to 5 trips per year.
• Must be willing to travel for training.
Supervisory Skills:
• Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Experience:
- 3 plus years of experience in industrial maintenance required.
- 3 plus years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 yrs experience working with critical equipment in a pork plant preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities blueprint, construction drawings, and knowledge of Tyson specifications.
