What you'll do?
The Maintenance Supervisor, under the guidance of the Site Manager, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organization's facilities, equipment, and machinery. To ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime, the Maintenance Supervisor plans, coordinates, and directs all maintenance activities. The Maintenance Technician team must meet company standards for safety, security, and productivity. This role requires working in a fast-paced production environment where daily quotas must be met and exceeded.
Duties Include:
- Provide direct daily supervision of technicians to achieve prescribed objectives and ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the repair facility.
- Interview, select, and manage technicians.
- Train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness in performing their job duties.
- Make recommendations to the Site Manager on programs to improve warehouse operations.
- Supervise the parts and supplies ordering process.
- Assist in conducting physical inventories as required.
- Support audit compliance items in the Maintenance area
- Develop and implement a daily plan for allocating staff and parts to jobs.
- Ensure that equipment is utilized most efficiently.
- Evaluate housekeeping, security, and sanitation levels daily.
- Review maintenance operations daily to ensure the area is neat, secure, and well organized, and that damage to parts.
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for the execution of maintenance work
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
- Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed and operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- At least 2 years of experience in staff management and development is required.
- Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
