Our Ecoservices subsidiary is on the hunt for a Maintenance Supervisor for our Hammond, IN plant.

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily supervision to the mechanical maintenance group.
- Responsible for the most economical allocation of department finances.
- Plan for & schedule maintenance personnel each day to perform maintenance in the plant.
- Develop long term & shutdown plans & schedules.
- Make sure all permits are in place and that all locks are in place.
- Help write job procedures.
- Give safety meetings & train mechanics as needed.
- Assist engineering & perform project work. Perform administrative duties (i.e. time cards, vacation scheduling, discipline, etc.).
- Manage the mechanical backlog as well as the applicable mechanical safety backlog items.
- Assist in ensuring equipment reliability by following good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventive & predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for new equipment installation.
HS&E Responsibilities:
- Fill out work permits.
- Give safety meetings & morning tool box discussions.
- Write & review job procedures.
- Train for the emergency response team.
- Make sure that all mechanics follow safety rules and procedures.
- Adhere to the Supervisor's Performance Standards. Participate on an area housekeeping inspection team.
- Ensure the timely completion of work on the mechanical Safety backlog.
- Actively support and communicate the Ecovyst Principles for Managing Behavioral and Operational Safety and Life Saving Behaviors
- Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
- Proficiency in reading, math, and computer operation.
- Ability to communicate with upper management and ability to train and communicate with the people the role manages.
- Ability to oversee jobs being performed and ability to make decisions on how and when to perform the jobs.
- The role is responsible for the safety.
- Must possess strong fundamental knowledge of maintenance practices in rotating equipment repair, pipefitting, welding & rigging, as well as other supplemental maintenance practices. Basic knowledge in the applicable regulations & codes is also required.
