Injection Molding Maintenance Supervisor

Summary:

Safely lead the site maintenance teams through significant, change, growth and new product transitions. This position will be responsible for 24/7 operations which includes 40 Injection Molding machines plus all secondary machines. This position presently has 17 hourly direct reports including automation technicians, maintenance technicians and spare parts clerk. The hourly team is spread across a mix of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This is an on the floor position that will work with all shifts as needed.

In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To:

• Identify and implement safety and environmental related improvements.
• Be the 'On the floor leader' for overall plant maintenance and coordination of activities with other departments in a manner which results in the production of quality product at a cost and schedule consistent with company policies, customer satisfaction and plant objectives.
• Have knowledge and experience with Injection Molding machines and support equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program on all related plant assets.
• Ensure the completion of accurate documentation associated with all the maintenance procedures inclusive of preventative/predictive maintenance and emergency repair activities.
• Oversee and be involve with our technicians on performing complicated repairs to hydraulic and electric machines as well as other repairs as needed.
• Use your troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
• Lead and coach the team through the skill base pay training matrix. Assess actual capabilities to match pay rates. Define path and timing for each team member to meet their growth opportunity goals. If needed adjust pay to confirmed skill set.
• Work as a cross-functional leader providing a positive team spirit, supporting everyone’s efforts to safely meet business needs and changes.
• Key contributor to filling vacancies.

What You Need To Succeed:

• Must have a safety-first mindset.
• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Injection Molding Maintenance with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Technical or engineering degree or certifications a plus.
• Must have Hands On experience and a proven track record as a servant leader.
• Ability to interact with others respectfully and develop productive working relationships to minimize conflict and maximize rapport.
• Experience at leading change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Takes independent initiative to complete projects with a sense of urgency.
• Strong multi-tasking skills and accuracy levels required.
• Desire to participate in professional development plans.
