Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides direct leadership and supervises hourly skilled trades associates
- Responsible for performance feedback of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate
- Responsible for maintenance department safety, quality, production, and delivery objectives in his/her area of responsibility
- Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to support production jobs
- Responsible for managing the preventive maintenance schedules
- Coordinate and assess required training and team building
- Complete individual performance reviews for probationary associates
- Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team
- Communicate key information through the daily "shift to shift" communication plan
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. PPE, EHS, Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
- Ability to interview and help select skilled trade candidates for hire
- Ability to prioritize downtime repairs, pm's and project work
Required Experience
Required Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years as a Maintenance Supervisor preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing, welding, and/or robotic processes as required for the position
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to mentor and teach the team in effective problem solving methods
- Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts
- Proven leadership ability
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations
