We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisorat our location in Marysville, Michigan. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Department on afternoon shift and ensuring maintenance activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner. The Maintenance Supervisor will provide coaching and direction to his/her assigned employees and monitor performance of key performance indicators. Must have proven leadership skills and experience in a union manufacturing environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Ensure team members are performing to company standards and following all company procedures.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems within the facility.
- Ensure all safety rules are being followed and all incidents are investigated and reported properly.
- Ensure all team members are trained to effectively perform their job duties. Assist in building teams and promoting teamwork.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks/projects from the Maintenance Manager based on severity.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with developing and maintaining the preventative maintenance system and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders, equipment history and inventory.
- Assist with ordering materials and equipment needed to perform maintenance activities.
- Manage projects and maintenance activities to ensure budget requirements are met.
- Proactively address issues and works with the maintenance team to develop and implement permanent solutions.
- Assist with coordination of scheduled repairs and works with manager and contractors on all capital equipment installations.
- Respond to production calls for maintenance-related issues throughout the shift.
- Work with maintenance team on troubleshooting and oversee repairs to ensure they are done in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
- Report and address unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
- Maintain equipment in good working conditions.
- Assist with continuous improvement activities and collaborate with other departments to support production goals and minimize disruptions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of Maintenance Supervisor experience in a union manufacturing environment with proven leadership skills in a union production environment.
- Skilled trades experience and a strong technical aptitude.
- Proficient in all areas of maintenance – electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and machining.
- Ability to operate maintenance-related equipment (lathe, mill, surface grinder, etc.).
- Ability to read electrical/blueprints and technical drawings a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills.
- Ability to motivate team members to accomplish objectives.
- Understanding equipment and processes that pertain to manufacturing.

Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
