KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision and oversight of a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts, ensuring seamless operations.
- Addressing supervisory matters, including establishing preventative maintenance schedules, delegating tasks, scheduling work shifts including Overtime, approving timecards, and managing PTO for a team of maintenance associates.
- Upholding stringent health and safety standards, particularly in adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and other mandated training/certifications as stipulated by MIOSHA and/or the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensuring proper operation and safety compliance of support equipment, while maintaining a high standard of workplace organization and cleanliness.
- Oversee preventative maintenance work orders and execute in a timely manner by scheduled dates.
- Be aware of operation and condition of all equipment, machinery and building so they can be kept in a condition that allows them to perform as they are intended.
- Maintain a cost consciousness while still performing work in a manner that will ensure the reliability of equipment, machinery and building.
- Fill in for the department manager when they are absent from premises.
- Additional responsibilities may involve building maintenance and repair tasks as required.
- Previous experience in managing a Maintenance crew.
- Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers - minimum 1 year.
- Industrial / factory Maintenance - minimum of 3 years required.
- Proficiency in handling injection molding equipment, chrome electroplating, as well as a comprehensive understanding of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical systems.
- Familiarity with 480 VAC, 120 VAC, and 24v D.C. systems and their application in machinery and equipment operations.
- Previous training in Electrical safety, Lockout / Tagout, and confined space protocols is highly desirable.
- Proficient arc welding skills for fabrication and repair of racks, stands, and equipment, coupled with adept handling of acetylene cutting and gas welding torches.
- Extensive knowledge and practical application of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical systems as necessitated by the job.
- Competence in running various piping systems, conducting equipment disassembly, identifying faulty components, and executing repairs.
- Familiarity with gasoline-powered material handling equipment for maintenance and repair.
- Thorough understanding and utilization of machine-specific documentation, including the ability to read electrical and hydraulic prints proficiently.
- Previous factory maintenance experience with a commendable work history is essential.
- Basic knowledge of injection molding equipment, chrome electroplating, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical systems.
- Completion of prior training in Electrical safety, Lock out / Tag out, and confined space procedures is preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic prints with precision.
- Competency in general repair tasks and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
