What You Will Achieve
As a Leader in the Engineering Leadership team, your role is accountable for the performance of your team. You will be accountable for ensuring the process team deliver End to End commitments per business unit standards to efficiently meet customer requirements, developing and sustaining high performance teams and sustaining a culture of quality, safety & Continuous Improvement in your team and on-site.
As a Team leader, you will be involved in managing work teams in a division, along with technical and financial resources of the team. You will coach your direct reports on day-to-day activities and be relied on to solve complex problems within your area of expertise.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Manage multiple projects/ongoing work activities (timelines, work plans, deliverables) of moderate complexity within an Operating Unit.
  • Provide effective leadership for the assigned team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for engineering on assigned shift(s).
  • Provide Engineering SME support to both engineering technician team in addition to operations.
  • Engage with the Maintenance Planner to assign work and assessing all tasks for materials, resources and time accuracy for tasks, supporting work-order backlog management as required.
  • Manage and have accountability for all engineering activities planned for the shift to ensure that they are executed with a primary focus on safety.
  • Counsel colleagues to assure proper development for their success, supporting all colleagues to ensure they reach their full potential and to provide corrective action when necessary.
  • Support team members in addressing daily tasks and provide and conduct department and/or shift meetings to communicate company information, audit updates, production schedule updates, daily safety talks, etc.
  • Work in cross-functional teams with focus on deliverables, timelines and meeting customer expectations and requirements.
  • Lead team in identifying and implementing efficiency, safety, quality and cost improvements on equipment and processes.
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult/complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity, innovation and creativity.
  • Gather, analyze and interpret information and identify cause and effect relationships.

Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong management, leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for technical learning and problem solving.

Nice-to-Have
  • Master's degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Previous leadership experience or position of responsibility in an engineering function desired.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical / GMP environment
  • Experience in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients or Chemical Plant
  • Proficient knowledge of production operations, scheduling and Engineering planning.
  • Good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach and Customer Focused.
  • Note: Hiring Manger to update the methods and tools based on requirements.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands: Frequent time in the manufacturing area around equipment with moving parts, stair climbing, roof access.
Work Environment: Office environment, with frequent time in the manufacturing areas. Use of hearing and eye protection, and gowning is required.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
First shift. Some off-shift work will be required during production shutdowns or during equipment downtime.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
