Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a positive, compassionate, customer service-focused team member for the Maintenance Supervisor position. Assists the Environmental Services Manager in maintaining Morningside at the Meadows and Chandler Estates physical plants to its optimum functioning condition.  This is a “hands on” position.

Responsibilities:

1. To inspect mechanical areas to insure proper functioning and maintenance;
2. To carry out departmental safety program;
3. To carry out the facility preventative maintenance program;
4. To maintain inventory of parts and supplies at proper levels;
5. To assist Environmental Services Manager in refurbishing apartments when vacated;
6. To repair complex mechanical and electrical components;
7. To pick up parts and supplies as directed by supervisor;
8. To maintain vehicles and golf carts;
9. To deal directly with residents when performing service and repair functions in apartments;
10. To assist supervisor in ensuring work orders are completed in a timely manner;
11. To install and wire telephone panel for new residents and staff;
12. To program telephone keyboard;
13. To assist in monthly fire drills; and
14. To follow Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) requirements.
15. Be available to pull call and respond to emergencies.
16. Work with and cover for Courtesy Staff as required.

 

Qualifications:

1. Education: High School graduate or GED.  Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
2. Training and Experience: Minimum of three years experience in building maintenance to include experience or completed courses in electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.
3. Certifications/Licenses: Valid Texas Drivers’ License. HVAC preferred.
4. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of plumbing, boilers, pumps, cooling tower, heating and air conditioning and electrical as applies to various building codes. Knowledge of OSHA, federal, state, and city codes.
