Position Summary
Oversee the daily operation of the Maintenance Department. Achieve target 2% down time of overall operation. Train, and certify regular and temporary employees on all maintenance equipment and procedures. Maintain the appropriate records and reports required for daily plant operation and daily maintenance works. Monitor employee job performance. Involve in policy making for continued process operation, improvement, and cost reduction. To ensure the safety, quality of the products and ensure an orderly and safe workplace. To ensure the safety and quality of the products that the line produces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability - with or without reasonable accommodation - to perform the following duties but not limited to:
- Communicate company direction to maintenance crews to ensure compliance.
- Ensure all equipment is operating in normal condition and communicate with the production managers and supervisor of each shift regarding the condition and performance of equipment.
- Make certain work assignment to all maintenance crew under your supervision.
- Perform necessary analysis, estimate and preparation for assigned maintenance work such as repair, modification, improvement and new installation.
- Enforce accuracy of every maintenance work, and has confirm the completion of the work.
- Supervise performance, operation, fabrication and workmanship of all maintenance crew.
- Ensure all assignments to the crew are performed within the specified time frame and in accordance with proper procedure.
- Enforce all safety rules, procedures and practices, also conducting safety meetings periodically to reinforce the issue with all maintenance crew.
- Manage the purchasing, use and inventory of parts ( record inventory of major parts and materials )
- Supervise records of the preventative maintenance inspection, repair and modification for all equipment. (Records must be kept for a possible OSHA Audit).
- Ensure outside contractors, inspectors and sales persons conducting business with maintenance are following Nissin’s rules and regulations and are reporting all the details.
- Prepare month end reports to major repair, topics, labor matters, utility usage and other maintenance issue.
- Maintain a clean and orderly maintenance area. Ensure sanitation rules are followed.
- Effectively communicate to management, production, HR, QA or other departments with any areas of concern depending upon the situation.
- Attend all required meeting and communicate to all maintenance crew.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box
- Solution and team oriented

- Vocational training or post-secondary degree in a technical field
- Experience using a CMMS system
