Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities across the entire Strahman Valves facility. The ideal candidate will be able to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, determine the best way to resolve the issue at hand and then execute said plan. This means the individual should have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
Primary Functions:
o Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
o Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with machines.
o Coordinate and perform repairs promptly to minimize production interruptions.
o Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
o Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
o Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
o Reorder supplies as needed and track expenses within budgetary constraints.
o Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
o Generate reports on equipment performance and maintenance metrics.
o Provide training to maintenance staff on new equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
o Identify opportunities for skill development within the team.
o Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize impact on production schedules.
o Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the maintenance department.
o Implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine shop maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Familiarity with CNC machines and other precision equipment.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
· Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
· Certification or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations.
