Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team as a Maintenance Specialist at the Sweeny/Clemens/Old Ocean Facility in Sweeny, Texas. This position reports to the Maintenance Services Superintendent. The Maintenance Specialist will interface with people in operations, technical, and maintenance roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of all plant-wide vehicle PMs and Maintenance
• Manage rental equipment costs and help to remove low-usage equipment from the site
• Serve as liaison between the site and rental companies for obtaining rental equipment on site
• Create AFE (Approved For Expenditure) packages and requisitions for yearly vehicle purchases
• Complete TRACK approvals
• Lead maintenance initiative to track excess equipment/parts on site and develop a process for reimbursement
• Responsible person for maintenance signs off on certain dig permits outside of the plant fence line
• Responsible to obtain bids for all site vehicle purchases
• Responsible for coordination of selling of surplus vehicles
• Responsible person for monthly title V checklist review for stationary owned or rental equipment
• Liaison between P66 garage and site-owned scooter maintenance and PMs
• Responsible for coordination of site-wide grounds maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong Commitment to Safety
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Must demonstrate excellent communication, written, and verbal skills
• Experience in SAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in creating AFEs
• Experience working in the petrochemical industry
