Summary
To service the Maintenance Department with parts, supplies, and information while maintaining accurate accounting and controls (issues, credits, receipts) of inventory and non-inventory goods for the efficient operation of both departments.
Shift is Monday to Friday 7am-4pm with weekends/holidays are required by plant needs.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate departmental paperwork flow insuring proper and accurate documentation for Receiving, Purchasing, Issues and credits, physical inventories and report generation.
Process/purchase specified purchase requisitions for stock and non-stock items departmental operating procedures.
Inventory control. Maintain accurate perpetual inventory system, computer record system and hard copy documentation files.
Coordinate the expediting of all open orders to insure accurate and timely deliveries.
Organize and coordinate the daily operations of the Supply Room.
Cross train and fill in as required for all other department position.
Follow all company and government rules and regulations relating to safety, health and products as required by the plant, department, OSHA and USDA.
Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedure and Process Safety Management related matters.
Experience Requirements
Experience in Inventory control or receiving. Must have strong computer skills.
Minimum Education
Strong reading, math, writing, communication, analytical skills and basic mechanical aptitude required with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Computer kowledge/experience and college/tech school preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Work environment includes a normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in processing operations. Must be able to lift and carry 70 lbs. Must be able to stand on concrete floor in a wet/humid & icy environments all day exposed to noise between 60 and 110 db with temperatures between 62 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit and light intensity between 30 to 100 ft. candles. Must be able to move through all plant areas. Be able to grasp and handle product cases, container and parts. Normal exposure to chemicals as listed in the Plant MSDS.
