MAINTENANCE PLANNER - Hoopeston, IL.
- Target Salary = $65,000 to $75,0000
OVERVIEW:
Optimize work quality and workforce productivity by eliminating the potential delays and obstacles through proper planning & coordination of materials, parts, and manpower,
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Plans and schedules all TPM work and maintains the appropriate files and records to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done
- Coordinates external maintenance companies
- Assist external maintenance companies when on-site
- The TPM Coordinator will only utilize approved vendors, and contractors.
- Reviews work orders and requests and ensures the scope is clearly stated with steps
- Visits the sites to obtain manuals, and drawings and enforce special procedures as needed
- Obtains and identifies materials and special tools
- Estimates the cost for each work order including material, labor, and total cost
- Maintains a backlog of work orders awaiting scheduling for ready and non-ready work orders
- Demonstrates complete knowledge of the TPM and Planned workload
- Provides a weekly work schedule for TPM and Planned Work ahead of time
- Ensures the schedule balance with the hours available and each person is fully loaded
- Communicate with the production liaison to ensure equipment availability prior to scheduling
- Follows up to ensure the completed schedules and work orders are returned at the proper time
- Review completed schedules carefully and capture all appropriate comments in the database
- Maintains a ready package of schedulable work orders which require equipment to be shut down so that some or all of them can be performed in the event of an unscheduled shutdown of that equipment
- Develops a file of standard work orders (plans) for regularly recurring repair jobs, based on historical experience, to simplify the planning process
- Reviews the actual labor expended vs. estimated labor and materials used for completed jobs in order to determine corrective measures needed to improve accuracy
- Maintains necessary records and files
- Prepares and distributes meaningful and accurate control reports
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 2 years. of Production/Maintenance Management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiar with preventative maintenance programs.
- Excellent ability to resolve issues and solve problems through personal interaction. Above-average verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency.
- Ability to apply appropriate judgment and initiative in determining source of information, and action required for results and solutions.
- Ability to manage people and events while attempting to satisfy customers, management, and employees.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills. Above-average attention to detail.
- Organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
- Possesses a strong team player attitude and is willing to work overtime to complete their own work or assist co-workers.
- Ability to function under a high degree of complexity and handle several critical situations at once.
